Does Facebook Steal Your Time?

My friend, Dr. Phil (no, the other Dr. Phil) posted a quote that I liked and sent out as a tweet yesterday.

Both on Facebook and Twitter, we got replies from two kinds of people.

1. Those that wanted to tell us that sometimes worthless stuff is ok

2. Those that wanted to tell us to about the addictive nature of Facebook

I'm not an expert on the work of Benjamin Tregoe, but I'm pretty sure he was trying to tell us that getting a job done right is a waste of time if it's the wrong job.

If the project at hand is relaxing, taking time off, or whatever.. I don't think it's fall into the "need not be done at all" pile.

As for "Facebook time suck" .. PLEASE.. those games and annoying messages ARE NOT IN CONTROL. You are.

What we do with out time is a choice. If you have some kind of chemical imbalance or addiction, make the choice to now to do something about getting some help.

If you just spend a lot of time on social networking sites, it may be fun, there is a draw to it.. but take responsibility. It's your choice to be there, not an addiction.
